Harry Wayne Rockhill, 83, Speedway, passed away on July 9, 2012, at the VA Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born on May 29, 1929, as the son of Howard and Gladys (Jackson) Rockhill. Harry graduated from Brazil High School in the class of 1948.
He served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea with the 76th Engineer Construction Battalion.
Harry retired from Insurance Services Office, Inc., 20 years ago.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 500, and the VFW Post 48, where he was Quartermaster for many years.
Harry is survived by his wife of 56 years Betty (Brown) Rockhill, daughters Susan Woodson, Russellville and Donna Spencer (Scott Clay), Brownsburg, and step-son Daniel Rogers.
He is also survived by four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Mary Thompson, three nephews, one niece Mary Jane (Mike) Lybyer and their son Pat.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, brother Howard, and sister-in-law Rebecca.
Visitation for Mr. Rockhill will take place at Flanner and Buchanan -- Speedway Friday, July 13, 2012, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
A graveside service will take place at West Ridge Park Cemetery immediately following the visitation at the funeral home.
