Bucshon to visit Fair

Congressman Larry Bucshon, Republican representing Indiana's 8th District, will be present for the opening of the AMAX Building at the Clay County 4-H Fair Saturday, July 14, at 4 p.m.

Bucshon will provide current issue information as well as field any questions from constituents.

The AMAX Building at the Clay County 4-H Fair is packed full of vendors. Featured this year is the "Promote Brazil" booth, sponsored by Brazil Mayor Brian Wyndham and staff from the City of Brazil.

The booth will feature the mayor and staff, members of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, Community and Walnut theaters, Brazil Main Street, Serving on the Streets, Christmas In The Park, Popcorn Festival, Rotary and Lion's Club and more.

All organizations will provide their mission statement along with membership information.

Brazil Main Street will feature a "Brazil ... We're Lovin' It," theme T-Shirt.

The purpose of the community booth is to emphasize all things in Brazil.

The AMAX Building will also feature artistic prints by Traci Miller, with proceeds going to the ALS Association Indiana Chapter.

Also offered will be embossed note cards by Pam Grimes, with proceeds going to the National MS Society. Both artists will have their works on display and available for purchase.

Right to Life, Relay For Life and the Linking Education to Adults, Adolescents and Preschoolers (LEAAP) Center will also be available to share information with the public.

Building dates and hours:

* Saturday, July 14, and Sunday, July 15, 4-9 p.m., and

* Monday, July 16, through Thursday, July 16, 5-9 p.m.

  • If I were able to go see the congressman I would have asked why he has voted to end my healthcare I earned on the battlefields of the middle east?? And then I would ask the good Doctor why do you continue to try to repeal my military benefits in Congress where he is my Representative, And then I would have told him to go back to Illinois were he came from, carpetbagger!!
