Area council sells old marshal car

Sunday, July 15, 2012

HARMONY -- The Harmony Town Council met for its monthly meeting Thursday and approved for the old town marshal car to be sold.

The car will be sold to a county resident for $200 who will then have it crushed.

The council also commended Duane Minor and Minor Asphalt for the paving work that was done at Harmony Park recently, saying it looked very good.

The Harmony Town Council meets regularly the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m., in the Harmony Community Center.

Why didn't they take "bids" on the car surely they would get more than $200, but if they sold to board members relation they got a good deal.
