Rosamond 'Rosie' Puff

Rosamond "Rosie" Puff, 84, Brazil, passed away July 24, 2012, at 12:47 p.m., in her home.

She was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Hagerstown, Ind., the daughter of Alfred Perkins and Stella Thumeier Perkins.

She was raised in Brazil and graduated from Brazil High School, Class of 1945. She worked as a cashier for Paitson Hardware in Terre Haute for several years.

Rosie was married to Donald L. Puff. He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.

Rosie was very patriotic and was known for "speaking her mind." She was a sports fan, especially baseball and her Chicago Cubs.

She watched any and all sports including NASCAR.

She also stood in line with a good friend to see "Mrs. Chancelor," from the Young and the Restless. She was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her grandson Eric Puff and wife Andrea, Brazil, granddaughters Ashley Childress and husband Josh, New York, and Macy Puff, Indianapolis, great-grandchildren Hayley Puff, Alayna Puff, Sean Childress, Chase Childress and Tarah Hutchison and other extended family and many friends.

Services will take place Saturday at 1 p.m., at French Funeral Home with Rev. William Price officiating.

Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Light a candle in her memory at www.frenchfuneralhome.com.
