The Clay County Historical Society will be meeting Aug. 6, at 7 p.m., in the lower level of the museum.
The program will be "America's First Ladies" presented by Fredia Modesitt.
Those interested in finding out which first lady liked to chat on a CB, which one kept jersey cows on the White House lawn, or did not attend formal school, but taught herself French, are welcome to attend.
The public is always welcome at the monthly meetings.
The Historical Society is open daily from 1-4 p.m. and Saturdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Arrangements for group tours can be made by calling the museum at 446-4036 during business hours.
