Art program taking place Aug. 8 in Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE -- Wabash Valley Outdoor Sculpture will present Art Chatter Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 5:15 p.m.

The informal conversation series takes place each second Wednesday through September at M. Mogger's Restaurant and Pub.

The next discussion topic will be "How Do Things Get Designed?"

Presenters for the topic will be John Davidson of Distortion Arts and Brian Miller of MillerWhite Marketing.

People of all ages are invited to come to Mogger's at 5:15 p.m., to chat and get to know other people through discussion about art. Food and beverages will be available to purchase from the Mogger's menu, featuring half-price appetizers and $3 pints.

The last and final Art Chatter event for 2012 will take place Sept. 12.

The discussion topic will be, "Which Comes First, the Community Identity Or the Art?"

Presenters include Lloyd Benjamin and Jason Saavedra.

Art Spaces, Inc., organizes the event.

Art Spaces, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to create a collection of public outdoor sculpture in Terre Haute and the surrounding region of the Wabash Valley. The collection now numbers 12, with one new sculpture to be dedicated in September.
