Wednesday, August 1, 2012

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- Two teenagers, including one from Brazil, were injured in a one-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning, which took place on United States 231 near Montgomery County Road 450 South.

According to reports, Nicole Allen, Brazil, and Elizabeth Boswell, Greencastle, both 19, left the roadway for an unknown reason to later return as their vehicle began to flip.

"Both were thrown out of the vehicle on U.S. 231," Elizabeth's father, Daryl Boswell, said. "Both are in critical, but stable condition. Elizabeth had an operation earlier this morning as well as her friend."

Both Boswell and Allen were airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

Additional agencies responding to the scene included the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department, Crawfordsville Fire Department, S&W Rescue and the Crawfordsville Police Department.
