Alice was born in Lewisburg, Ohio, Dec. 29, 1919, the daughter of Stanley and Louise (Bernheisel) Bell.
She graduated from Monroe High School with the class of 1937.
Alice's mother passed away when Alice was 13.
Alice helped raise her brothers, attended school and worked on the family farm until she graduated from high school.
She worked for 48 years at Campbell's Drug Store in Eaton, Ohio.
Alice retired when they closed the store.
Alice moved from Eaton, Ohio, to be closer to her grandson in Brazil, Ind., in 1998.
She enjoyed reading mystery novels and in her younger years, providing for her family.
Alice particularly enjoyed her weekly beauty appointments at the Mane Attraction.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Beverly Smith and brothers Jim Bell and Dick Bell.
Alice leaves behind a granddaughter, Lynne Molla and husband Chuck, St. Louis, Mo., and grandson Mark Medearis and wife Donna, Brazil, great-grandchildren Melissa Medearis, Terre Haute, and Michael Medearis and fiance Brailyn Whitson, Brazil, as well as close friends Yvonne Hill and Shirley Knox, both of Brazil, as well as several extended family members.
At her request, cremation services have been entrusted to Lawson-Miller Chapel, Brazil.
Private committal services will take place at Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg, Ohio, at a later date.
