PARKE COUNTY -- A Brazil woman was one of two people arrested after an alleged stabbing incident in southern Parke County Thursday.
According to officials, at approximately 6:10 p.m., Thursday, deputies with the Parke County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to a fight and stabbing on County Road 600 East, in southern Parke County.
Upon arrival, deputies located a male with several stab wounds and other injuries.
A suspect vehicle was identified and deputies with the Clay County Sheriff's Department were able to locate the vehicle on State Road 59 north of Brazil.
According to information, the four subjects in the vehicle were taken into custody for questioning from the vehicle.
Parke County deputies were able to determine one of the subjects was the alleged suspect in the stabbing incident.
Robert Moorhead, 30, Indianapolis, was arrested and preliminarily charged with Aggravated Battery (a class B felony).
In addition, Cindy Randolph, 46, Brazil, was arrested and preliminarily charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Both were later transported to the Parke County Sheriff's Office.
As of Friday morning, Parke County Sheriff's officials said Moorhead was being held on no bond at the jail, while Randolph was being held on a $10,000, with 10 percent allowed.
Other agencies assisting included the Brazil Police Department and TransCare.
