Jesse was born Oct. 22, 1989, in Clay County, the son of Jeffrey Scott and Sarah A. (Batchelor) Hoke.
He graduated from Northview High School with the class of 2008. Jesse worked for The Pool Shop, McDonald's and had been working as a "swine technician" for Lyon Farms for the past several years.
Jesse spent a lot of time riding motorcycles, ATVs and Jeeps. He was also a talented back yard mechanic.
He was a member of the Wabash Valley APA Billiards and played out of the VFW in Brazil, for the Crazy 8's. He was also a member of ABATE and the Slo Pokes Crew.
Jesse was preceded in death by his father Jeff Hoke and an uncle Larry Hoke.
He leaves behind his brother Derek Hoke, mother Sarah Hoke (Bill Carrico), fiancÚ Jennifer Price, aunts and uncles Elmo Hoke, Carbon, Cindy Baker, Arizona, Rick Hoke, Brazil, Mona Keyt (Russ), Lena, Jeanie Lalen, Seelyville, Donetta Hinton (Joe), Bowling Green, Mary Ann Batchelor, Reelsville, Pamela Smith (Pete), Brazil, Nora (Steve) Caugaya, Brazil, Susan Winkler (David), Knightsville, Donny Batchelor (Teresa), Carbon, Floyd Batchelor, Bowling Green, God Parents Joe and Shannon Sanders, Brazil, as well as many extended family members and very close friends.
Visitation will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, from 3-8 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home Monday at 1 p.m. Friends are welcome to join Jesse's family on his final ride to Calcutta Cemetery.
