To the Editor:
In May, I wrote to you regarding the theft of our revolving red light from the fire engine parked behind our funeral home.
I am happy to report the light has been returned.
When Rob took the tarp off the engine (recently), he found the light on the ground and tucked into a fold on the tarp.
It had minor damage that was repairable.
To the person who decided to make a good choice and bring the light back, thank you.
We also want to express our appreciation to the many members of the community who communicated their concern.
Many gave verbal support, some helped us look for the light and others, including the Center Point Volunteer Fire Department, gave us lights or other items they thought we could use.
We are grateful to all of you.
