The guest speaker will be Indiana's Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tony Bennett.
Bennett was elected as Superintendent of Public Instruction in 2008.
He is a husband and father of four children -- including a set of triplets.
Since Bennett has been in office, state schools recorded the highest percentage in academic progress at 85.7 percent in 2011.
Students across the state made solid gains on English and math tests, marking three straight years of improvement (an 8-percent total increase).
In 2011, 14 percent of all graduates passed an Advanced Placement exam.
Those interested in attending the meeting do not need to be a member of the Clay County Republican Club. However, membership is available to those who wish to join.
