TERRE HAUTE -- Autism Speaks, the nation's largest autism advocacy organization, recently announced the Terre Haute annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks will take place Sept. 15, at the Vigo County Fairgrounds.
The state of Indiana only has three locations for the Walk Now for Autism Speaks event.
Last year's event attracted 2,800 walkers and raised more than $60,000 for autism research, awareness, advocacy and family services. This year, the goals have been set high with every expectation of surpassing them.
Organizations or individuals interested in getting involved in the 2012 walk should contact Debbie Beard at firstname.lastname@example.org. Organizations interested in volunteering should contact Tiffany Smith at email@example.com and organizations which would like to be a part of the Resource Fair should contact Cyrstal Haskett at firstname.lastname@example.org.
