ELLETTSVILLE -- The Northview volleyball team picked up a key Western Indiana Conference victory on Thursday night with a 25-13, 27-25, 25-17 win at Edgewood.
Brylie Riddell had 14 kills, two blocks and four digs with Mikayla Rowan leading the team with six blocks and had three kills. Shelbi Morris had eight kills and Morgan Stearley had four kills and an assist for the Knights. McKenzi Kumpf added two digs, seven kills, an ace and two blocks. Alexus Bex also had a kill in the victory.
"Brylie was outstanding tonight," Northview coach Scott McDonald said of his senior. "She was dominant in all phases of the game. Mikayla was also amazing with her blocking tonight. She and Brylie both sealed blocks extremely well and really affected their hitters."
Audrey Clark had eight digs and Ashley Heck recorded five digs to go with four from Hannah Willocks. Taylor Hess had 13 assists, two aces, a kill and three digs. Madison McDonald had six digs and 16 assists.
We also were very happy with how we maintained composure in a tough environment with some challenging calls," McDonald said. "Great way for us to start out the conference with a road win."
