The Northview girls' golf team beat visiting Edgewood Thursday, while shooting its best score of the season, 169-178.
Head coach Bob Treash said he was proud of the way his team has been playing lately.
"I'm extremely proud of them," Treash said. "We're kind of on a streak now and the first five have raised their game to another level. Instead of shooting in the mid 40s, we're shooting in the low 40s and even a 39 (tonight) ... they've really work hard, we've practiced every day."
Keirsten Mikesell shot the aforementioned 39, which proved to be the best score of the night, while Karlie Atkinson and Megan Heaton rounded out the top-three with a pair of 42s.
Leading the way for Edgewood was Olivia Lunn, who shot a 40.
Treash said despite how well his team has been playing recently, there is always room for improvement.
"We're going to work on mostly putting," Treash said. "We had two girls that said they putted horrible tonight (and) another girl (said) she'd like to work on her driver. But we'll do a little bit better on everything."
Treash said the goal is to bring a sectional title to Northview and he believes his team has the opportunity to do just that.
