Two organizations team up for local food banks

Exceptional Living Center of Brazil and Vista Care have teamed up with Catholic Charities to collect non-perishable food donations for area food banks.

All proceeds will benefit food banks in Clay, Green, Knox, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties.

A donation barrel will be set up at Exceptional Living Center of Brazil through the end of September.

Thelma Barra, (far right) resident at Exceptional Living Center of Brazil, donated $20 to Catholic Charities Food Bank. For every $1 donated, Catholic Charities can buy 5 pounds of food and feed a family of four for one day.
