BRIDGETON -- The Milling and Craft Demonstration Days will take place Saturday and Sunday,.
Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m., both days.
Milling Days at the Mill celebrate the birthday of Oliver Evans, the father of modern milling. Those attending will be able to tour the Bridgeton Mill and see the 200-year-old French buhr stones grind corn into cornmeal and grits, in addition to being able to stock up on cornbread and pancake mixes made using the mill's own organic stone-ground products.
Craft Demonstration Days at the 1878 House and Barn will feature pioneer and modern crafters at work creating their wares. Those attending will be able to learn how to make their own unique handmade items, while seeing woodworkers and bowl carvers, spinners, knitters and other fiber artists demonstrating and selling unique handmade items.
Visitors will also be able to tour the 1822 Case Log Cabin and learn about how early settlers lived.
Admission to the event is free.
There is plenty of free parking and food vendors will be at the event.
