TERRE HAUTE -- People of all ages are invited to visit Mogger's Restaurant and Pub on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 5:15 p.m., to participate in an informal conversation about art and meet other people through discussion.
The Wabash Valley Outdoor Sculpture Collection will conclude the 2012 Art Chatter Series with a discussion on the ways in which art defines and enlivens a community.
The discussion topic is called "Which Comes First -- the Community Identity or the Art?" Presenting viewpoints on the topic and leading the discussion will be Dr. Lloyd Benjamin III, president emeritus of Indiana State University Department of Art, and Jason Saavedra, partner and principal with J3 Concepts, a planning and development consulting firm based in Terre Haute.
Beverages and food will be available for purchase from the Mogger's menu, featuring their Wednesday special, half priced appetizers and $3 pints.
Art Spaces, Inc., which is hosting the vent, is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to create a collection of public outdoor sculpture in Terre Haute and the surrounding region of the Wabash Valley.
