National Guard

Tanner Brown recently enlisted in the Army National Guard. Tanner is the son of Neil Brown and Hope Dalton and grandson of Tom and Debbie Brown. He enlisted Aug. 31, 2012, and will leave for Ft. Leonardwood, Mo., in February 2013, where he will be trained to become a military police officer for the National Guard. Tanner is one of three generations of the Brown family to serve in the Army National Guard. His grandfather, First Sgt. Thomas Brown (left), enlisted in the November 1965, and served more than 36 years, before retiring as First Sgt. of the 138th Quartermaster unit located in Brazil in May 202. Sgt. First Class Neil Brown (right) enlisted in March 1989, and is still currently a member of the National Guard. He works at the Terre Haute Armory.
