Harmony will no longer be without a town marshal, after the Harmony Town Council accepted Larry Pierce to the position at Tuesday's meeting.
According to the council, Pierce was sworn in on Wednesday and be eligible to start as soon as possible.
The motion to accept Pierce as Harmony's town marshal was made and passed unanimously.
Meanwhile, the council reviewed its budget and will plan on adopting it at its Oct. 9 meeting. The meeting was changed to the second Tuesday of the month to alleviate a scheduling conflict with a member of the council.
The council regularly meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m., in the Harmony Town Hall.
