TERRE HAUTE -- Thousands of walkers will be on hand Saturday at the Walk Now for Autism Speaks event in Terre Haute.

Registration for the walk is scheduled for 9 a.m., with opening ceremonies set for 10:30. The walk will begin at 11 a.m.

The event will take place at the Vigo County 4-H Fairgrounds.

The event will include a mile walk and a community resource fair with educational sources, therapists, schools, recreational organizations and child-friendly activities.
