Donna Marie Weltzin, 86, Jefferson, Wis., formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away Sept. 8, 2012, following a brief illness.
She was born July 23, 1926, in Michigan City, Ind., the daughter of the late Charles Laten Rhinehart and Elizabeth Jane (Irvin) Rhinehart.
She married Robert V. Weltzin March 24, 1946. He preceded her in death June 30, 1971.
In her early years, Donna was an Acrobatic Dancer for the Ringling Brothers Circus.
She was also employed at the First National Bank in Rochester, Ind., as a teller, from 1954-74.
She is survived by her son Steven Weltzin, Harmony, Ind., grandchildren Valerie Combs, Brazil, Troy Weltzin (Bridget), Terre Haute, Chad Weltzin (Sally), Aspen, Colo., Casey Weltzin (Elizabeth), Austin, Texas, and Angela (Joe) Smith, Fort Atkinson, Wis., great-grandchildren Jarett Combs and Adrienne Combs, sister Alma (Robert) Hubeny, Kewanna, Ind., brother James Rhinehart, Wilmington, Ohio, as well as special niece and nephew Brenda (Mike) Wiese, Grass Creek, Ind., and Timothy Blackburn of California, and several extended family members.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Randy Weltzin, sisters Barbara Sommers, Olive Belle Kilander, Miriam Blackburn, Eldora Cook and Laura Owen, as well as brothers Owen, Irven and Morley Rhinehart.
Graveside services will take place at Citizen's Cemetery, Rochester, Ind.
