He was born to Ralph and Mary K. Brown March 9, 1952.
Tim graduated from Staunton High School in 1970. He married his high school sweetheart, Kathy Maesch and had two children: Ed and April.
In 1983, he remarried Joanne Griffin and became a stepfather to Ebony.
Later, he and Joanne adopted a newborn baby, Andrew, who was the light of Tim's life, until Andrew's untimely death in a car accident in February 2004.
Tim enjoyed photography, fishing, hunting, reading and watching movies. He was an avid sports fan of the New York Yankees and the Chicago Bears. He was a history buff and enjoyed reading about wars, especially World War II.
Tim is survived by his mother Mary K. Brown, Brazil, children Ed Brown (Chrischelle), Brazil, April Knox (Brian), Columbus, and Ebony Griffin, Milwaukee, Wis., grandchildren Ashley, Mariah and Hannah Brown, Nicholas Shaw (Kristen) Bloomington, Amanda, Adam, and Joshua Knox, Columbus, and four step-grandchildren, his sister Beth Andreas (Milton), niece Amber Wright (Murphy), Terre Haute, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Jerry Houser, father Ralph Brown and son Andrew Griffin.
There will be a private graveside service at St. Johns United Church of Christ Cemetery for family Saturday, at 11 a.m.
