Mark A. Graham, 57, Clay City, passed away at I.U. Hospital in Indianapolis Sept. 18, 2012, following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Paris, Ill., July 4, 1955, the son of Richard and Betty (Newhart) Graham.

He graduated from Clay City High School with the class of 1973.

He married Carol Swank on May 24, 1974.

He worked at Kuhlenschmidt Implements in Newberry, Ind., and more recently Hoffman's Implements in Clay City as a parts manager.

Mark began working for Putnamville Correctional Facility as a guard in 1981.

He retired due to medical concerns in 2007 as captain. He enjoyed working with computers and photography -- especially taking pictures of his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Betty Graham.

Along with his wife Carol, he is survived by two sons Brian Graham and wife Melissa, Clay City, and Brad Graham and wife Alana, Austin, Texas, three grandchildren Austin, Jordan and Jacey, one brother Brent Graham and wife Marlene, Clay City, aunts Carolyn Hebert, Many, La., and Betty Scott, Paris, Ill., as well as several extended family members.

Services will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Lowell Nick Moore officiating.

Burial will follow at Sink Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 4-8 p.m., and again Sunday from noon until time of services.
