YMCA Fall Family Fun Night set for Oct. 27

Thursday, September 20, 2012

The YMCA of Clay County, 225 E. Kruzan St., Brazil, will host its annual Y Fall Family Fun Night Saturday, Oct. 27, from 4-6 p.m.

The YMCA of Clay County coordinates the event with support from community agencies and local businesses.

The Family Fun Night is designed to be a "fun and safe way for families to celebrate fall," according to Y officials.

The event is open to all children, teens and adults in the community.

Admission is one non-perishable food item (or $1 per person). The food item will be donated to local food pantries.

No one, however, will be turned away if they are unable to donate.

The Y is still seeking sponsors for the event and is asking community agencies and local businesses to sponsor a booth.

Each booth will feature a carnival type game/activity and prizes or candy.

Sponsoring a booth includes providing a volunteer to run the booth and supplying prizes or candy to award to each child playing the game.

The Y will also accept monetary donations.

All booths will have the name of the sponsor/donor displayed.
