Clay City resident and University of Indianapolis student Caroline Beyers (right) was recently inducted into Phi Alpha Epsilon, a freshman honor society that rewards excellence at the university. The award is limited to first-year students completing their freshman year and having an accumulated grade-point average of 3.8 or above after their freshman year. Caroline is a 2011 graduate of Clay City High School and is pursuing a a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a Master of Science degree in occupational therapy. She was sponsored by one of her freshman professors, Joy Hogue (left).
