On Saturday, both bands competed in the Avon Meijer Invitational.
In Class D action, Clay City scored a 56 to win the title. Orleans came in second with a 54.95.
Clay City also won Best Music, Best General Effect, Best Percussion and Best Drum Major.
Competing in Class B, Northview placed second with a score of 71.20.
Jasper finished first with a score of 73.45.
Plainfield was third with a 63, followed by Pendleton Heights with a 60.80 and Greenfield-Central with a 60.60.
Northview also won Best General Effect and Best Auxiliary.
Both bands will take part in the Indiana State School Music Association District Contest at Plainfield Saturday.
Competing in Class D, Clay City will perform at 11:13 a.m. Monrovia will open Class D competition at 11 a.m.
Awards for Class D will follow the Clay City performance.
Northview is scheduled to take the field at 3:07 p.m.
Other Class B bands competing include Plainfield (2:15 P.M.), New Palestine (2:28 p.m.), Terre Haute South (2:41 p.m.) and Zionsville (2:54 p.m.).
Awards for Class B will follow Zionsville.
