WEST TERRE HAUTE -- Tasty local foods will be prepared by local chefs for a fundraiser Sunday, Oct. 7, to benefit White Violet Center for Eco-Justice (WVC), a ministry of the Sisters of Providence and Terre Foods Cooperative Market (TFCM).
The outdoor barbecue dinner will be offered in the White Violet Center garden at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
A cash bar and appetizers will be served at 5 p.m., with dinner offered at 6 p.m.
Kris Kraut of Indiana State University, Jeff Ford of J. Ford's Black Angus and Shelby Ann Shober of the Country Club of Terre Haute will prepare the food.
Cost is $40 per person.
Registration deadline is Oct. 1.
Tickets may be purchased at the Terre Haute Downtown Farmers' Market at the Terre Foods and White Violet Center tables.

In addition to enjoying the bounty of the autumn harvest, dinners will have an opportunity to visit with the alpacas on the grounds at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods and to mingle with other local food advocates.
Proceeds from the event will support the future of WVC and TFCM.
White Violet Center provides opportunities to participate in creating systems that support justice and sustainability, local and globally through organic agriculture, eco-justice education and advocacy.
Terre Foods is a member-owned cooperative forming in Terre Haute that seeks to provide the community with natural, organic and local foods.
