The Clay County Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 1, in the lower level of the museum.
Megan Hawkins, Chair of the "Night at the Museum," will provide a report about the event and may possibly bring a character from the past with her.
The guest speaker for the meeting will be Charles Gamm, a Civil War buff from Marshall, Ill.
Gamm is also a collector of guns and Civil War memorabilia and will share some items from his collection.
He has taken part in many Civil War reenactments.
The Brazil Main Street, Inc., along with the Clay County Historical Society, will present a special night of history and fun Saturday, Sept. 29, with "Night at the Museum."
The event will take place from 6-9 p.m., and the community is invited.
The "Night at the Museum," movie will be presented at the Brazil City Hall lawn. Popcorn will be provided at no charge.
The Clay County Historical Museum is open Monday-Friday, from 1-4 p.m., and on Saturdays, from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Special tours may also be arranged by calling the museum during business hours.
