Fundraiser set for local pageant contestant

Friday, September 28, 2012

A fundraiser for Brylee Wallace, 6, will take place Monday, Oct. 15, at the Clay County Courthouse, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Brylee was recently named the 2010 Miss Indiana Princess and will compete in a national pageant at Walt Disney World in November.

The state pageant took place in Indianapolis in August.

She is currently attempting to raise funds for the trip.

All proceeds from the Oct. 15 event will be used to help pay for fees and expenses.

Freewill offerings will be accepted.

A luncheon of potato soup, chili, hot dogs, barbecue and various desserts will be offered at the Oct. 15 fundraiser.

Brylee is the daughter of Brad and Monica Wallace, Brazil.

In the national competition, Brylee will have the opportunity to win cash prizes, which will help her in her future goal of going to college to become a nurse.

She will compete in a talent program and volunteer program.

The American Co-Ed Pageant was incorporated in the state of Florida in 1983. Pageants take place for single girls, ages 3-22.

For more information about the local fundraiser, call 448-8801.

Is there a website where donations can be made?
