Authorities search for missing Clay County man

VIGO COUNTY -- Area authorities are continuing to search for a missing Clay County man.

According to various media outlets, David Schroeder, 56, rural Clay County, was last seen around 12:30 p.m., Friday, at First Financial Bank, located at Sixth Street and Wabash Avenue in Terre Haute.

Reports stated Schroeder was last known to be heading toward his home located on State Road 340 and County Road 500 West in Clay County near the Clay-Vigo county line.

According to reports, Schroeder is a diabetic and has other medical conditions.

Authorities, according to reports, have been tracking Schroeder's cell phone but there has been no activity since a text message he sent to his wife Friday.

According to reports, Schroeder is described as 5-feet-10, weighing approximately 230 pounds, with salt and pepper hair and a short ponytail.

He drives a green Ford Ranger with the license plate 1271275.
