Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta
Theta Tau Sorority
The regular meeting of the Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority took place at 7:50 p.m., Sept. 18, at First Presbyterian Fellowship Hall following the alumni birthday celebration.
The meeting was opened by Chapter President Kathy Bridgwater with the Delta Opening Ceremony and Delta Prayer.
The secretary called roll with 15 members present.
The August minutes were approved as read.
The treasurer's report was read. The treasurer's report will be filed subject to audit. On a motion by Bonnie Boor, the bills will be paid.
Reports of Committees:
* August Philanthropy -- Janice Modesitt delivered to St. Vincent Clay ER and Kathy Modesitt took needs to the Linking Education to Adults, Adolescents and Preschoolers (LEAAP) Center.
* September Philanthropy -- Melissa McCullough will take care of cheeseballs. They will be made at Jackson Township Elementary School Saturday, Nov. 10, at 8 a.m. Jenny Ringo passed out order forms, which are due back with money by Oct. 16.
The executive committee met following the meeting.
Province Convention will be Oct. 5-7, at Hilton North Castleton.
Diane has reserved two rooms if needed. Melissa made a motion to allow Cindy to vote as she sees fit on the philanthropy projects to be presented.
Power of Community date has been changed to Jan. 10, 2013, with a snow date of Jan. 14, 2013.
Jenny will send a thank you note to Alpha alumni chapter for birthday invitation tonight.
Habitat for Humanity of Clay County request for donation.
The next meeting will be Oct. 16. Initiation Team practice will begin at 7 p.m.
A business meeting will take place at 8 p.m., and Founder's Day at 9:30 p.m.
There is a fine if you are absent for Founder's Day without a written excuse.
The meeting will be in Traylor Hall of First United Methodist Church.
The Party Group is Kim Emmert O'Dell and Jenny Ringo.
The meeting was closed with the Delta Closing Ceremony.
