Dora Mae Alsip, 97, Largo, Fla., formerly of Brazil, Ind., died in Largo, Fla.

She was born Jan. 23, 1915, in Corbin, Ky., as the daughter of William and Phoebe Wells Reeves. She married Arthur Alsip who preceded her in death in 1987. She was a member of the Rosedale United Methodist Church before moving to Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur, brothers Ora, Fred, C.M., Charles, Gordon, and Earl Reeves and half brothers Steve, Orman and Steeley Reeves.

She is survived by her daughter Velma O'Connell (Jim), Largo, Fla., son Bob Alsip (Carolyn), Brazil, sister, Eula Jean Evans, Mich., 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other extended family.

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday with Pastor John O'Neal officiating.
