The Lady Volunteers of the Staunton Community Center are sponsoring a craft fair Saturday, Nov. 17.

The cost to set up is $15 if you use one of the center's tables, or $10 if you provide your own table.

Staunton First Christian Church News

Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30.

Doug Parkey is the minister.

Children's Church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30 a.m., in the Educational Building.

If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211.

Sunday evening service begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Group meet at 7 p.m.

The annual fall cookout will be Oct. 6, at the home of B.J. and Samantha Biddle, starting at 5:30 p.m.

Please bring your own lawn chairs and finger foods or a dessert.

The elders will meet at 6 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 8, with the board meeting following at 7 p.m.

The Christian Fellowship Club will meet for lunch at Pizza Hut in Brazil at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Mark your calendars for these October events:

* Oct. 6 -- Annual Fall Cookout at the Biddles,

* Oct. 21 -- Pastor Appreciation Dinner at the Staunton Community Center, and

* Oct. 28 -- Trunk-or-Treat.

Staunton United Methodist Church

Sunday worship service begins at approximately 10:45 a.m.

Our pastor is Scott Aselage.

Remember the Community Food Pantry is open in the church basement from 3-5 p.m., on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month.

The next food pantry day will be Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome.

We appreciate the support of all the churches, schools, civic organizations and individuals who help make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.

Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals and those who have lost loved ones.

Go out of your way to be kind to someone and pray for everyone.
