Modern Homemakers

The Modern Homemakers met at the home of Mary Lou Farris Sept. 6, 2012.

The meeting opened with seven members repeating the pledge and creed.

Roll call was answered with members giving a folklore weather tip.

The members sang, "School Days," and "Happy Birthday" to Wilma Modesitt.

Carolyn Tausig gave the secretary's report and treasurer report.

They were approved by the members.

Wilma gave a health lesson, "Keeping your hands young and strong."

The history of our postal service was given by Carolyn Tausig for the citizenship report.

The lesson, "Curious about Calcium," was given by Carolyn.

Next month, the meeting will take place at the Genealogy Library in Center Point on Oct. 4.
