Tri Kappa

The Associate Chapter of Tri Kappa met at Kleptz' Restaurant Sept. 10, 2012.

President Jacque Reberger called the meeting to order with the usual song and verse.

Roll call was answered by 19 members, including new affiliate Cindy Watts.

The minutes of the last meeting and the summer executive meeting were read and approved.

President Reberger reported on the summer executive meeting and the recent inspection by our Province Officer Beverly Stallings.

Vice President Dabren Clark reported that flowers had been sent to the families of Jane Mercer and Charlotte Pickett and to Shirley Witt after the death of her husband.

Teresa McCullough will assume this duty in the future so please notify her when cards or flowers need to be sent.

Vice President Clark presented the annual review of CrossKeys.

Correspondence was read and new pictures of our SOS children were shared.

The treasurer's report was read and approved and the budget for the 2012-13 year was approved.

New program materials were distributed and reviewed.

Members were reminded to bring the following to the October meeting: Items for the Humane Shelter, old magazines, Campbell's Soup labels and Box Tops for Education.

Cheryl Latham presented information about an ALS walk in the near future and also noted that Traci Miller had created note cards to raise ALS awareness.

The meeting was closed with prayer.

The next meeting will take place Oct. 1, 2012, at Kleptz' Restaurant.
