On Monday, Oct. 15, at 6:30 p.m., the Clay County Republicans will host a Candidate Chili Cook-off at the Clay County Republican Headquarters in the Kroger Plaza between Dollar Tree and Dollar General.
Guests will get to try Jim Baird's "Bodacious Chili," Jim Deal's "Chili Con Salsa," Alan Morrison's "Macho Chili," Tony Fenwick's "Fabulous Chili," Bob Heaton's "Plain Jane Chili," Pat Heffner's "Scrumptious Surprise Chili," Robert Pell's "Garden Harvest Chili" and more.
Cost to attend is $5 per person.
Attendees will be given five tickets to use toward voting for their favorite chili.
The public is encouraged to attend and cast their vote.
Candidates will be on hand to give updates on their campaigns and to answer questions.
