ROCKVILLE -- Opening times will be expanded during the Covered Bridge Festival for the Art Gallery in Rockville.

The first weekend will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Hours during the week will be 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

On Saturday of the second weekend, the times will be 9 a.m.-8 p.m., and 9 a.m.-6 p.m., on Sunday.

No matter the weather, festival goers will enjoy the talent of Parke County artists in the light and airy Historical Building of 1877, which at one time was a men's department store on the first floor and the Odd Fellows' Lodge upstairs.

The upstairs is currently being renovated for classes and storage for the permanent collection and special events.

The Art Association began 48 years ago.

Artists have been busy making sure there are a good supply of those wanted bridges, barns and landscapes people are always interested in purchasing.

Featured art work includes a variety of media including oils, watercolor, acrylics, jewelry, pencil, photograph, pottery, wood and other gift items.

For more information, call the gallery at 765-569-9422.
