Joan Patricia Bussing, 83, House Springs, Mo., passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at St. Clare Hospital, Fenton, Mo.
Joan was born Jan. 22, 1929, in Brazil, to Raymond Stephen Bussing Sr., and Marjorie Candice Fisher Bussing.
Joan attended Annunciation B.V.M. Grade School and graduated from Brazil High School, class of 1937.
Joan worked at the National Drug Store in Brazil until leaving for Long Island, N.Y., in 1961, to help care for her brother Tom's children, Susan and Christine.
Joan devoted her life to Tom and her special nieces.
Preceding Joan in death were her parents Raymond and Marjorie Bussing, brothers Richard Bussing, Bernard Bussing and Raymond Bussing, sisters-in-law Patricia Bussing and Judith Bussing, brother-in-law Ray Dome, and nephew Kevin Bussing.
Surviving Joan are her two special nieces Susan Bridges (Charles), Chesterfield, Mo., and Christine Bussing, Chesterfield, Mo., brothers David Bussing, Brazil, and Thomas Bussing, House Springs, Mo., sister Margaret Dome, Wilmington, Ill., and sisters-in-law Helen Bussing, Greenwood, Ruth Bussing, Marilyn Bussing and Veda Bussing, all of Brazil.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, Oct. 13, at Schrader Funeral Home, 14960 Manchester Rd., Ballwin, Mo., beginning at 11 a.m.
