PLAINFIELD -- Northview wrapped up the volleyball regular season by posting a 25-16, 25-16, 21-25, 25-16 victory on the road at Plainfield on Thursday.
The Knights got 17 assists, three digs, a kill and an ace from Taylor Hess to go with 14 assists, three digs, four kills, a block and an ace from Madison McDonald.
"We were very consistent for the most part all night," coach Scott McDonald said. "We served extremely well and passed well in serve receive."
The Knights also got three digs apiece from Ashley Heck, Hannah Willocks and McKenzi Kumpf with Audrey Clark posting 11 digs in the victory. Heck also provided a pair of service aces.
Offensively, Alexus Bex had three kills with Morgan Stearley adding two and each had one assist. Mikayla Rowan had three blocks. Brylie Riddell led the team with 11 kills and five blocks along with four aces and six digs. Shelbi Morris provided nine kills, six aces, a block and a dig and Kumpf added nine kills and five aces.
McDonald was happy with how his squad played in preparation for next week's sectional opener against Martinsville.
"Their serving was similar to Martinsville, plus we got a chance to play in the gym where the sectional is this season," McDonald said. "We were never really threatened in the sets that we won, however, in the third set we had a letdown, which is something we cannot do next Thursday."
Northview ends the regular season with a record of 28-5 overall and takes on Martinsville Thursday night at 6 p.m.
