Jennifer Kaelber is running for re-election as the District 2 representative of the Clay County School corporation. Kaelber was first elected in 2008 and has spent the past four years serving on the school board.
Kaelber said she is qualified to hold this position because of her experience.
"I've been on the board for four years," Kaelber said. "I have an idea of where we are and where we need to go."
Kaelber said she greatly cares about the staff, faculty and students at every school in Clay County, and she hopes to continue building on the relationships she has already established within the corporation.
Kaelber said she has enjoyed her experience working on the school board, and she'd like to see some projects and ideas through in the next four years.
"We've been working on the new bus building," Kaelber said. "I'd love to see things continue and improve there."
Kaelber is also committed to seeing technology advance in the schools and would like to continuing working toward technological advancement in the next four years if she were elected. Kaelber also hopes to maintain a good budget in the next four years.
Kaelber has four children, all of whom are in the Clay Community Schools system.
The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 6.
