Retreat Center to host open house

CLAY CITY -- Wabash Park Camp and Retreat Center, Clay City, welcomes the public to its first Open House taking place Saturday, Oct. 20, from 2-5 p.m.

Guests will be invited to see first-hand the new award-winning Heritage Lodge, take a guided tour of the 50-acre campus and facilities and relax with friends while enjoying music, beverages and campus information.

For more that 75 years, thousands of people have been drawn to Clay City to experience the excitement of Christian camping, enjoy the quiet outdoors, participate in sports events, meet new friends and strengthen families. Many have been encouraged in their spiritual lives as well.

Wabash Park Camp and Retreat Center encourages new and past guests to come to the Open House.

The retreat would like to introduce those interested to this special place that is located in the neighborhood. The retreat also offers a special thanks to all who have helped make the recent improvements at the camp possible.

During the Open House, at 3 p.m., in the pavilion, there will be a brief program of music and helpful information on how individuals or groups might benefit from using the retreat center.

The retreat center is available for weekend retreats, daytime business meetings, indoor or outdoor weddings, sports events, music camps or family reunions.

Pearson Miller, a native of Clay City and camp board chair said, "We want our neighborhoods to see the expansion and improvements that are taking place at Wabash Park Camp and Retreat Center."
