Froderman has owned his own veterinarian clinic, Clear Lake Veterinarian Hospital, in Brazil since 1998. He has lived in Clay County off and on since 1968.
Froderman is running for a school board position because he is interested in the CCS education system. He feels his education, experience with running his own business, interaction with community members and his care for CCS students qualifies him to be a member.
"My oldest grandchild is in the first-grade in a CCS school," Froderman said. "I want to run so I know my grandchildren are coming into a good school system. I want to make sure they get the best education possible."
If elected, Froderman said he would like to see the graduation rate increase.
He also said he'd like to see more transparency in what the school board does.
Froderman is married with six children and seven grandchildren.
The 2012 election is on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
