TERRE HAUTE -- Harrison College, a private sector college serving more than 4,500 students at 14 campuses in Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina and online, will celebrate its 110th anniversary by hosting "The Harrison College Connection" -- an open house, career fair and networking event -- at its Terre Haute Campus on Oct. 23, from 10 a.m.-noon and 5-7 p.m.
The event is open to the public, and admission is free of charge. The campus is located at 1378 South State Rd 46 in Terre Haute.
Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with several area businesses that will be on hand for the event. Representatives from the criminal justice, health sciences and business sectors are expected to attend. Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett will visit the campus at 10 a.m., for a recognition ceremony.
Harrison College, formerly known as Indiana Business College, first opened its doors in Marion, Ind., in 1902, and the college has operated in Terre Haute since 1968. Harrison College currently offers bachelor's degrees, associate's degrees, certificates and diplomas in more than 40 programs across five schools of study (Business, Criminal Justice, Health Sciences, Information Technology and Veterinary Technology). It also operates a culinary school, The Chef's Academy, in Indianapolis and Raleigh, N.C.
