WEST TERRE HAUTE -- Catholic women ages 18-42 who are seeking to deepen their faith and explore religious life are invited to participate in a Discernment Weekend hosted by the Sisters of Providence Nov. 16-18, at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.
The theme for the weekend is, "Bonded Together in Christ."
Registration and welcome is planned for 7:15 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16, in Owens Hall.
Saturday's schedule begins with breakfast, morning prayer and presentation on Common Bonds: Vows, Prayer, Community and Mission, followed by quiet time and small-group sharing.
The day continues with Eucharistic Liturgy at 11:30 a.m., followed by dinner, sharing of discernment stories and an opportunity for one-on-one conversation, Eucharistic Liturgy, a tour of the grounds or walking and praying the labyrinth.
At 4:30 p.m., there will be reflection on Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, foundress of the Sisters of Providence, in the church of the Immaculate Conception.
Sunday's program features breakfast, small-group sharing with time for questions and answers, prayer in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, Eucharistic Liturgy, dinner and wrap-up and evaluation.
