Forrest Buell is running for re-election as the District 4 representative of the Clay Community Schools Board of Trustees.
Buell has served on the school board for 24 years.
Buell is a retired country doctor.
He began working as a doctor in Clay City in 1959 after receiving a medical degree from Indiana University.
Buell is also a veteran of World War II.
Buell believes there are many problems in Clay Community Schools and many of them stem from the consolidation of the schools many years ago.
Buell believes the school district needs to be divided and Clay City needs to have a school district of its own.
Buell's main concerns come from the tax money taken from Clay City for CCS. He is also concerned for the students who have to travel near Interstate 70 to get to a consolidated school.
Buell said if he were re-elected for school board he would continue to fight for these issues.
Buell has been married for over 50 years. He has one stepson and two step-grandchildren.
The general election will take place Tuesday, Nov. 6.
