Results announced from website poll

Friday, October 19, 2012

The results are in.

For two weeks, online readers have had the chance to participate in a non-scientific straw poll at www.thebraziltimes.com.

The poll was officially closed at 9:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 19.

Straw polls provide important interactive dialogue among movements within large groups, reflecting trends like organization and motivation.

Voting eligibility in specific districts did not restrict voters.

Results are provided as entertainment -- and as an indication of voter opinion of those using The Brazil Times' website.

Totals don't add up for council. Because of the "vote for 3", the percentage should be taken from total votes for position (485) not number of respondents.

Heffner -- 43.7 percent (118 votes) should be 24.3%

Nicoson -- 24.1 percent (65 votes) should be 13.4%

Rickert -- 15.9 percent (43 votes) should be 8.9%

Hoskins -- 31.5 percent (85 votes) should be 17.5%

Johnson -- 23.3 percent (63 votes) should be 13.0%

McCullough -- 41.1 percent (111 votes) should be 22.9%

Again Proud of My Country...wanting to retire the man instead of the lies you and Mr. Fenwicks' buddies are making about his record and the works he has done for this community...

I am openly challenging you sir to present any proof that you have that he "forgot", in your words, to send paperwork for a grant to the state to repair U.S. 340.

Not answering this only shows what I have known, that you are assisting Mr. Fenwick in a dirty, underminded, and downright slanderous attempt to disparage a man who has dedicated almost 60 years of his life to service of family and community.

People of this community will see right through you come election day and allow Charlie to continue his dedication to strong leadership and fiscal responsibility to the people of District 2.

Vote Fact, Not Fiction....Vote Brown for Commissioner...
