Theatre to present 'Annie'

The Community Theatre of Clay County will present, "Annie: The Musical," Nov. 1-3.

Cost is $25, which includes a buffet dinner that will be served at 6:30 p.m., each evening. Performances will begin between 7:15-7:20 p.m.

"Annie" is a musical based on the beloved comic of the 1930s.

The story is about a spirited orphan named Annie, portrayed by Amaya Jones, who finds a home with a New York City billionaire.

Trying to avoid the grips of the vicious orphanage mistress, Miss Hannigan, Annie steals the hearts of many.

By the end of the story, Miss Hannigan, Rooster and Lily are arrested and Oliver Warbucks, portrayed by Ric McFadden, adopts Annie.

Joining Jones and McFadden on the stage will be Ashlee Vitz as Grace Ferrell, Denise Collins as Miss Hannigan, Sam Glover as Rooster, Laura Feliciano as Lily, and Carl McKinney as President Roosevelt.

The musical is being directed by Julie Kapke.
