Peniel United Methodist Church, 9525 N. Kennedy Crossing Rd., Brazil, will not have its annual turkey/roast beef supper and bazaar this year.
The Clay County Local Emergency Planning Committee will conduct its regular 2012 meetings prior to the Clay County Fire Chief's Association at 6 p.m., with the chief's meetings at 7 p.m., during the following dates:
* Nov. 20 -- At the Posey Township Fire House.
Early voting for the 2012 election will begin in October.
The following is a list of times and dates for early voting, as provided by the Clay County Election Office:
* Oct. 29-Nov. 2 (Monday through Friday), 8 a.m.-noon, and 1-6 p.m.,
* Saturday, Oct. 27, and Saturday, Nov. 3, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and
* Monday, Nov. 5 (the last day for early voting), 8 a.m.-noon.
All early voting may take place at the Clay County Election Office, located on the second floor of the Clay County Courthouse (room 211).
Voter registration must be postmarked no later than Oct. 9, 2012. Online (at IndianaVoters.com) must be submitted by 11:59 p.m., Oct. 9, 2012.
Absentee applications are due by Oct. 29, 2012.
Traveling Board applications are due by noon, Nov. 5, 2012.
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) will conduct a free open house Nov. 1, at 8:30 a.m., at the YMCA of Clay County.
All males and females are welcome.
'Annie: The Musical'
The Community Theatre of Clay County will present, "Annie: The Musical," Nov. 1-3.
Cost is $25, which includes a buffet dinner that will be served at 6:30 p.m., each evening.
Performances will begin between 7:15-7:20 p.m.

The Owen County Art Guild will host a Belgian Waffle Brunch Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Cost is $5 per meal.
The meal will include the waffle, choice of toppings and beverages.
The event will take place at 199 W. Cooper St., Spencer.
All proceeds will go to the building fund.
The Brazil Church of the Nazarene, 1002 E. National Ave., Brazil, will conduct a Holiday Extravaganza, Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Fifteen-plus vendors will be on hand at the event, including Thirty-One, Avon, Mary Kay, Scentsy, Family Fudge, Lia Sophia, Pampered Chef, Set to a Tea, The Noodle House, Homemade Baked Goods, Ann Marie Designs (hair bows and more), Blessings Unlimited, Paparazzi Jewelry, The Old Brown Shed Spices, The Candle Shack and more.
Food will also be available at the event.
Fall Fest 2012 will take place Saturday, Nov. 3, from 3-7 p.m., at Christ Community Church, two miles north of Brazil on State Road 59.
Pumpkin Chunkin, chicken racing, lumberjack games and more will be available.

The Clay County Bereavement Support Group will conduct a meeting for anyone, no matter where they are in their grief journey, Monday, Nov. 5, from 10-11:30 a.m.
The meeting will take place at Grace Chapel, 2104 W. United States 40, Brazil.
The VNA Hospice of the Wabash Valley and French Family are co-sponsoring the meeting.

Historical Society To Meet
The Clay County Historical Society will meet Monday, Nov. 5, in the lower level of the museum. This is the annual turkey dinner. Those wishing to attend should take note of the time change of 6:30 p.m.
There will be no board meeting.
The guest speaker will be local attorney Amos Thomas, who will discuss the 225th anniversary of the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
Parent Support Meeting
The Clay County Parent Bereavement Support Group will conduct a meeting Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 7-8:30 p.m., at Grace Chapel, 2104 W. United States 40, Brazil.VNA Hospice of the Wabash Valley and the French Family are co-sponsoring the meeting. For further information, call 446-2206.
St. John's Church of Christ will have a soup and sandwich supper Friday, Nov. 9. Barbecue, hot dogs, coney dogs, chili, chicken and noodles, ham and beans, cornbread and homemade desserts will be available from 5-7 p.m.
A bazaar/auction will follow at 7 p.m., with homemade quilted wall hangings, baby, quilt crafts, candies, holiday decorations and numerous other items.
St. John's Church of Christ is located on State Road 42 approximately five miles east of the intersection with State Road 59.
The Union United Methodist Women will host their second quilt show Nov. 10, at Union United Methodist Church, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Admission is $1. A baked potato bar will be available for a freewill donation, with pie and coffee costing $1 each.
There will be several items available for silent auction.
Quilts are currently being accepted for the exhibition.
There is no charge to exhibit a quilt.

The Cory Zion Church will have its 27th annual Turkey Supper Saturday, Nov. 10, beginning at 4 p.m., and concluding at 8 p.m.
The cost of the dinner is a freewill offering.
There will be a delivery service available for the Cory, Clay City, Center Point, Saline City and Riley areas.

The church is located three miles south of Cory from State Road 46 or three miles west of State Road 59.

Tri Kappa of Clinton will host its 32nd Arts and Crafts Christmas Bazaar Sunday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., at South Vermillion High School, Clinton. Cost for adults is a $2 donation. Cost for children is a $1 donation.
Advance ticket sales are available from any Tri Kappa member.
Ticket donations are used for a scholarship fund.
There will be more than 100 booths available, including a fudge shop, photographs with Santa, Christmas items, cookbooks, nuts and more.
Door prizes will also be available as will lunch.

Clay Business Women, in partnership with Terre Haute Savings Bank, will present the 21st Reality Store at North Clay Middle School Monday, Nov. 12, from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
The event, "Leap Into The Future," is a virtual hands-on learning experience for North Clay and Clay City eighth-graders to give them a taste of what life will be like as adults.
Many community residents and leaders volunteers to help make the event a valuable experience for the students.
Van Buren Elementary School will host a Veteran's Day program Monday, Nov. 12, at the school.
Veterans who have served in any branch of the United States Armed forces are welcome to attend the ceremony, which will feature the Jackson Township Community Band.
The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
Veterans and spouses are invited from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., for a luncheon.

The November meeting for the Clay County Genealogical Society has been changed to Nov. 13, at 1 p.m., at the Genealogy Library in Center Point.

The Clay County 4-H Council meeting will take place at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the 4-H Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall.

All proceeds will benefit the sisters' ministries.
