The following is a list of calls the Brazil City Fire Department responded to from Oct. 10-30:

* On Wednesday, Oct. 10, firefighters responded to a fire alarm at Eastside Elementary School. The alarm was found to be false,

* On Thursday, Oct. 11, at 10:14 p.m., firefighters responded to a CO alarm at 419 E. Kruzan St. O ppm were found by a gas detector,

* On Friday, Oct. 12, at 7:41 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the area of West Central Village. A cooking fire was located on Leavitt Street. The resident had a permit for the cooking fire,

* On Saturday, Oct. 13, at 2:10 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to an automobile in a home in the 600 block of North Columbia Street. Firefighters found a vehicle traveling north on Columbia Street had lost control and struck a parked vehicle and pushed it into the home at 620 N. Columbia St. All vehicles were damaged, and both homes sustained significant damage,

* On Sunday, Oct. 14, at 1:36 a.m., firefighters responded to 731 N. Vandalia St., for a life alert call. Police were on the scene and advised the scene was secure,

* On Monday, Oct. 15, at 2:03 a.m., firefighters responded to the area of North Colfax Street for smoke in the area,

* On Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 3:40 a.m., firefighters responded to South Sherman Street for a smoking transformer,

* On Thursday, Oct. 18, at 7:33 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a house fire at 520 N. Leavitt Street. The fire had started in a sun room converted into a hobby room, and spread into a bedroom and outside through the roof and into a garage that had been converted into living space. Upon arrival, interior firefighting crews conducted a primary search and extinguished the bedroom and home, while responding off-duty firefighters established water supply and checked for extension into the attic space of the garage/apartment. Two families were displaced. The fire was electrical in nature,

* On Friday, Oct. 26, at 8:16 p.m., firefighters responded to National Avenue and Chicago Avenue for a motor vehicle accident. Firefighters assisted with traffic control,

* On Friday, Oct. 26, at 10:45 a.m., firefighters responded to the area of Pinckley Street and Hadley Street, in reference to smoke near Stearley Drive and Forest Park Elementary School,

* On Friday, Oct. 26, at 5:08 p.m., firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident. Firefighters assisted with traffic control,

* On Sunday, Oct. 28, at 4:20 p.m., firefighters responded with the Brazil Police Department to access the roof of Meridian Elementary School for possible vandalism,

* On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 8:10 a.m., firefighters responded to 2664 E. U.S. 40, Great Dane Trailers, to assist TransCare for an employee with an unknown type emergency medical problem. TransCare Ambulance was responding from Vigo County with an extended response time,

* On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 6:58 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of steam or smoke in the area of 1015 N. Meridian St. Firefighters were unable to locate any problems, and

* On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 8:07 p.m., firefighters responded to 1111 E. Northwood Dr., for a smoking electrical outlet. Firefighters responded and identified the problem circuit, clothes dryer outlet, checked for extensions inside the wall and discussed solutions with the homeowner.
